Jos� Mart�n C�ceres Silva is a Uruguayan professional footballer who plays for Juventus F.C. in Italy. His primary position is central defender, but he can also operate as a left or right back, being noted for his pace, strength, tackling and aerial ability. After starting out at Defensor, he was bought by Villarreal in 2007. In the following years he competed in Spain and Italy, notably winning three Serie A titles with Juventus and the 2009 Champions League with Barcelona. An Uruguayan international since the age of 20, C�ceres represented the country in two World Cups and the 2011 Copa Am�rica. He was compared to countryman Paolo Montero, who also played for Juventus.
